Advanced Breast Exam Simulator
The Advanced Breast Exam Simulator is an incredibly advanced simulator for breast exam training - suitable for both clinicians and self-examination.
Mimics Human Skin
The simulator has been developed to mimic human skin as closely as possible. Like it would in a live patient, the tissue density of the simulator's breast varies so that those being trained can know exactly how they should be feeling the tissue.
The simulator can be used in both supine and upright positions.
Changeable Tumors
A range of tumors of different sizes (from 1cm to 4cm), shapes (round, oval or irregular/stellate) and densities can be inserted into the simulator by the trainer. This enables training scenarios to be more varied and more detailed.
The tumors can represent adenomas, cysts, malignant tumors and enlarged lymph nodes in auxiliary and subclavicular areas.
Visual Differences
As well as training to feel tumors in breasts, the simulator can also be used to show the visual changes which tumors can cause. Peau d'orange ("orange peel skin") is visible on the simulator, as well as inflammations, inverted nipple, skin dimpling and asymmetry.
