How Do I Use The Chladni Plate?
Before beginning with this experimental set, you must ensure you also have a function generator and experiment leads (both sold separately). Once you have the required equipment, and are ready to start your experiment, follow the below instructions:
- Attach the Chladni plate to the vibration generator via the connector plug
- Once these are securely attached, connect the function generator using the experiment leads
- Add a fine and powdery substance to the top surface of your chosen Chladni plate
- Modify the frequency to your desired level using the function generator
- Observe the formation of various patterns on the Chladni plate via sound-vibrations
