The Daniels Pharmaceutical Waste Bin is designed to provide a safer method of storing medicinal waste for incineration in larger capacities. The solid structure enables a greater quantity of waste for disposal, providing storage for up to twenty-two litres of medicinal waste at any one time. This will be particularly useful for medical rooms where high volumes of waste can be produced.
What Waste Can Be Disposed of in the Daniels Healthcare Cytotoxic Waste Bin?
This purple-lidded container with a blue body is designed for cytotoxic or cytostatic pharmaceutical waste in its original packaging. The bin cannot be used to dispose sharps.
Colour Coded and With Label for Writing Identification Info
This cytotoxic pharmaceutical waste bin also includes a purple lid and blue body to allow for colour coding. This will provide a visual prompt for eliminating the chance of objects being placed in the incorrect containers. The label on the front of the container will also provide improved safety, with space for writing information including the container's location, department, and start date.
Hands-Free Access
The Pharmi Cyto 22L XA Waste Container features a hands-free hinged door that can stay open. This will make it easier to insert larger, bulkier items into the container, and will also reduce the need for hands to come into direct contact with the container. The door can remain open at either 40 or 90 degrees, and also features a temporary closure.
Prevents Waste Escaping the Container
The bin also includes a 'push to lock' function, and includes a permanent closure that increases safety during transportation to prevent waste from escaping the container. Additionally, each container includes an absorbent pad to soak up any liquids inside.
