Greenhouse Effect Kit

The Greenhouse Effect Kit is a set of equipment that quickly and easily demonstrates the effect of greenhouse gases. Able to perform simple but effective experiments which show  gas absorption of infra-red radiation, the Greenhouse Effect Kit has a wide range of educational applications.

Solar radiation received by the earth is simulated in this kit through short-wave infrared radiation, attenuated by absorption in water, and the visible light from a reflector lamp. A heated black metal disc simulates infra-red radiation as emitted by the earth. Both types of radiation are made to pass through air or butane gas in a metal tube and subsequently registered with a thermopile. This experiment will allow clear and concise results that prove the Greenhouse Effect, making it an ideal addition to any classroom setting.
