The Medline Blue Silk Non-Stick PTFE-Coated Electrodes (Pack of 12) are ideally used for plastic surgery, as well as for dermatological or gynaecological procedures due to promoting better wound healing. These electrodes include round edges to guarantee the safety of medical professionals and a PTFE coating that allows for easily removing build-up for a more efficient and focused surgery. This product is both sterile and single-use to ensure maximum hygiene.

Focussed Electrosurgery

The Blue Silk Electrode is coated with PTFE, the same non-stick compound used in Teflon. This reduces the build-up of eschar (carbonised tissue) on the electrode tip, helping to make surgery more efficient and focussed. The Blue Silk Electrode also features a rounded blade edge, which prevents RF current from concentrating too much energy in any one particular area, reducing damage to peripheral tissue.

Suitable for Wet Conditions 

With a ribbed insulation, the Blue Silk Electrode makes tip changes easy, even in wet conditions. The Blue Silk Electrode can be easily cleaned with a wet piece of gauze or sponge, precluding the need to use an abrasive scratch pad.
