What Is the Purpose of the Sodium Spectral Lamp?

The sodium spectral lamp, when used alongside the full lamp kit, is a gas discharge lamp that can be used to observe Na D lines in the sodium emissions spectrum.

This replacement lamp is designed to be used with the black housing, integrated supply unit, and stand rod available in the Low-Pressure Sodium Lamp Kit (230V, 50/60Hz).
