The Spectrophotometer S is a robust spectrometer for investigating the near infra-red and infra-red regions of the spectrum between 360 and 800nm. Its removable cover allows students to see first-hand the spectrum analysis process, while a specially selected transmission grating and precision slit give high resolution for excellent results. The product makes data collection simple and effective, with intuitive software that gives real-time graphical output (no time tracking of lines).

For easier interpretation of the spectrum, each wave band is shaded with the corresponding colour. The spectrum can be viewed either as a graph or data table, and the availability of several toolbars makes it possible to set the spectrometer parameters to exactly fit the requirements of the experiment. Spectra 1 is supplied ready to use, and the unit is tested and calibrated before shipment for results you can rely on.

Please note: unit is not suitable for absorption spectroscopy.
