Wooden Monochord

The Wooden Monochord is a wooden box open at both ends, with a clamping mechanism for a string. Through varying the string tension and length, monochords demonstrate how these variants affect the pitch of sound emitted. The Monochord Includes an indicator for the tensioning force, as well as a steel string (tuned to B) and a nylon string.
