The Laser Reflection Sensor is designed to trigger the 3B NETlog Data Logger and Acquisition Interface to measure time on moving objects. When the laser is interrupted, the sensor detects it and signals the NETlog to take a reading. The sensor can also be used with the Digital Counter (please note that it is recommended that the Connector Box is used when connecting the Laser Reflection Sensor to the Digital Counter).
The sensor is suitable for opto-electronic scanning of light and dark markings on objects. It's also suitable for use with a reflecting foil to create a wide-spaced obstruction sensor.
The laser beam's intensity is automatically adjusted to match the distance of the object, to ensure an accurate reading every time.
Multiple Laser Reflection Sensors can be connected to a single 3B NETlog with the Digital Input Box, enabling multiple moving objects to be measured at once.
