Life/Form Pericardiocentesis Simulator
The Life/Form Pericardiocentesis Simulator is designed to teach the skills needed to perform a pericardiocentesis.
Fully Functional Simulator
The simulator has been designed to be as fully functional as possible. It features a pressurised tension pneumothorax site, as well as a site for the surgical placement of a functional chest tube.
When positioned accurately, a needle will enable fluid to be drained from the simulated pericardium. The pericardiocentesis can be performed in the left subxiphoid space and in the left fifth intercoastal space.
great for Instructors
As well as helping students to learn how to perform this difficult procedure, the simulator is great for instructors. The colour, volume and viscosity of the fluid can be controlled by the instructor, enabling them to control the simulation as they see fit.
The mannequin can be used with any closed water seal drainage unit for ease of setup.
